BLUE DOMINO RECTANGULAR BUTTER/CHEESE DISH - Blue Domino backstamp with the solid spots on the domino. Technically listed as a cheese dish on the price list, generally referred to as a butter dish. Base: approx. 15.1 cm (5 15/16”) diameter. Lid: approx 10.8 cm (4.25”). Overall height approx. 7 cm (2.75”). Lid: There is variation in the thickness of the blue all over the lid and you can see white showing through in places. There is also some roughness to the glaze/slip which appears to be due to dust specks during manufacture. No chips or cracks or crazing. Base: Long line crazing. Overglaze hasn’t taken in three small places on the edge giving a rough, matt blue effect. 2mm chip on the underside of the edge – this has not broken into the edge at all.
