GINGER Spice Jar - Black Shield Backstamp. 3.5" high. NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR CRAZING. Slight white smudge in the bottom blue band and a small indent filled with blue on the top white rim. To the LHS rear there are a couple of slip bumps in the bottom blue band. Lettering on a slight slope but very clear with few ink specks. Some very light specks in the top rim. Lid fit good. White mark in outer blue band and some very small firing fissures in the inner blue band together with a glaze run. Underside of lid has some brown staining in the unglazed lid rest rim, as does the unglazed foot rim of the base. Not a bad piece at all.
