PEPPER SHAKER - SCREW TOP - THE HARDEST TO FIND OF THE SHAKERS - Green Shield Mark. Approx 11.8 cm (4 5/8”) high. SANS SERIF PRINT. Screw Top. Base free of crazing, bar for one line at the bottom of one of the bands. Some flakes from the edge of the unglazed inner thread underneath the lid. Crazing to the lid – which is importantly the right lid for a pepper shaker (DON’T GET CAUGHT OUT BY A SWITCH). There is some light discolouration to the crazing which would probably come out with some Milton. Lid holes intact. Thread on base good, there is a tiny under glaze indent. Inside the base there is a firing line around the bottom edge. This is confined to the inside. One blue speck in the top white band on the LHS, and one white speck in the bottom blue band below the first “PE”. Very light surface scratching. Good blue colour. 342g unpacked.
