GROUND-GINGER Spice Jar. 3.5” Black Shield Mark. NO CRACKS. NO HAIRLINES. Earlier, long necked shape. Crazing to jar. Very nice clean, and smooth upper rim. Nice, larger style lettering. White spot in lower blue band on the extreme left hand side. Slight over glaze run on the middle blue band below the lettering. Inside the neck is a black speck in the glaze. Lid fit excellent. Small slip bump on inner blue band, and small light brown spot on knop. Base of lid superb. On the base foot rim are some indents from manufacture and some dirt specks. It also appears that some one has written /3 at some point in pen on the base and it has absorbed into the glaze (was this part of a price or a fluke?). Very nice looking example. 242g unpacked.
