RAISINS 4.4" Storage Jar - SANS SERIF. Gresley Church Mark. Very early first shape, probably 1920’s. Minimal long line crazing to approximately 10% of the jar body. Some brown specks/discolouration to the lid rest rim and a few craze lines at the rest lip junction. The rim is pretty smooth with minimal specks from the clay. There is one small white speck from a little bump in the glaze below the RA in the mid blue band and a slightly larger one on the left-hand side well outside the range of the letters. At the back of the jar there are a few specks in the glaze and a slight thinning in the overglaze at the bottom of the lower blue band. There is some crazing to the base of the jar and some dirt to the outer unglazed rim of it too. The lid is well fitting. There are three small bumps in the glaze, one showing lighter blue in the outer blue band and a blue speck in the white ring. The underside of the lid is very clean. 466g unpacked. REF NO: TG137. Price: 45.00GBP
