Prices INCLUDE POSTAGE by UK Special Delivery so no matter how many jars you buy - YOU DON'T ADD ANY POSTAGE.. For overseas purchases an allowance will be made and only the extra payable. We DO NOT CHARGE FOR PACKING.

DO NOT LET THESE DESCRIPTIONS PUT YOU OFF! Take a very critical look at your current stuff and you will see what I mean.

We do not include prices on the website for some of the rarer items. This is to help you find a bargain. We don't want to be a free price guide for general dealers so they know what to charge! All we have spoken to about this think it's a good idea. Apologies if you don't, but hopefully you will understand where we are coming from and you will be rewarded some day!

Look out for: It indicates an item that is very well priced relative to it's value.

Please Note: These are on line prices. You may find that the price of an item in the cabinet is slightly higher. This is because of the rental and commission we have to pay for sales through the antiques centre.

ALL-SPICE Spice CADDY – SERIF 3.25”VERY EARLY SHIELD MARK – Not pictured in the new book! NO CRAZING. Very few surface scratches. Exceptionally clean base. There are three tiny glaze skips or nibbles on the lid rest rim of the jar to the extreme right. There is some VERY light, light grey marking associated with this. At the rear there is a very small firing fissure that again has the lightest hint of colour change around it, above it at the top lip is a tiny fleabite. Two bumps/ rubs in the slip of the middle blue band. Smallest one below the I, larger one to the right hand side beyond the lettering. There is a small white spot associated with this. The lid is a nice even blue colour. On the underside, near the sides, is some light discolouration. On the edge is a tiny tight hairline that does not go into the top at all. This is a very nice jar with the larger Serif lettering. 272g unpacked. REF NO: TG 518. Price: 130.00GBP. 4 pre-prepared pictures available by return.

ALMONDS Spice CADDY – SERIF 3 7/16” (8.5 cm) Black Shield Mark. No crazing bar for two line on the lid. Four very tiny rim fleas/flakes. Very few surface scratches. Exceptionally clean base. Absolutely no brown specks at all. Very clear large serif lettering with minimal ink specks associated with it. Slip and glaze quality very good. One pin head firing bubble in middle band below D, two in the bottom blue band below M and O, one to the rear. Bottom edge has slight overglaze thinness and thickness in parts. This is a very nice jar with the larger Serif lettering and not easily found. 242g unpacked. REF NO: Personal. Price: 160.00 GBP. 4 pre-prepared pictures available by return.

ALMONDS Spice Jar – SERIF 3.5” Early Gresley Church Mark with just England. Large Serif lettering. NO CRAZING OR CHIPS. Light surface scratching. Slight firing fissure on lid rest but this is overglazed. Very good blue. Small firing bubble on neck above O that is a slightly lighter blue. Right at the base the overglaze I slightly thicker from a small run, but it doesn’t look like a run! In between the A and L the glaze is slightly thinner in a very narrow line, but this is minor. At base of top blue band a slightly darker line of about 5cm exists. Through the lettering of O and N is the finest white line as if the letters were not quite accurately constructed during manufacture. Again this is me being fussy. On the upper rim there is some roughness and light pinprick speckles. Lid is very clean on underside. Very few specks on the top. This is a very hard to find jar and is priced to take into account what are mostly manufacturing faults. 252g unpacked. REF NO: TG517. Price: 225.00GBP 4 pre-prepared pictures available by return.

ALMONDS Spice Jar – SERIF. 3 7/8” Black Shield Mark. Smaller serif lettering. NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR CRAZING. Light surface scratching. Lettering good, with few ink specks associated with it. Top rim clean with the most minimal hint of the lightest specking. On the front above the O is a firing bubble with a fractional fissure of less than 1mm associated with it. In the middle blue band below the “ND” is a small visible scratch in the over glaze. In the bottom blue band there is a hint of a slip bump. There is slight thinning of the overglaze towards the bottom of the lower blue band. Inside neck of the jar is a slight slip bump and a couple of pin head firing bubbles. There are also some black specks on the inner edge of the lid rest rim. Underside of the jar clean with a couple of small slip bumps on the unglazed foot rim. Lid fit very good. Underside of the lid very clean with one small craze line and one firing pop. Top nice and clean. Fewer of the spice jars around than the storage jars. 260g unpacked. REF NO: CWS2749. Price: 145.00GBP Click on picture to view gallery.

To the bottom blue band on the LHS is an over glaze skip and the bottom edge of blue has a slight indent with the blue following down a bit further. Unglazed foot rim has dirt in it. Lid fit excellent. Inner blue band has an uneven edge under the knop. Three or four tiny specks, glaze spots over the whole lid. Underside of lid very clean. Very minimal speck. Surface scratching mainly on the side – front very clean and shiny. To the rear, on the shoulder of the jar in the upper blue band, is a glaze discolouration from manufacture. At the back, on the upper rim, the over glaze is slightly thinner and you can feel roughness when you run your finger over it. Tiny white speck in the middle blue band to the left of the first “B”. Small brown spot in the lower white band on the extreme left. The base is very clean, with just a few tiny, very light brown specks in the unglazed foot rim. Super fitting lid. CARBONATE OF SODA Spice Caddy – SERIF. 3 3/8” Black Shield Mark. Larger serif lettering. NO CHIPS CRACKS OR CRAZING. There is a tiny indent on the inside of the lid edge that is either a tiny flake or a glaze/slip fault. The area is shiny, so seems to be manufacturing, but I can not say for 100%. Light surface scratching. On the middle blue band, below and before the first CA, there is rubbing and unevenness in the slip from manufacture. There is also a bump in the blue below the SO. The bottom blue band has ridges in and the overglaze is slightly short of the bottom edge. Base good with a few tiny light brown specks. Good sized caddy lid. Slight thinning of the blue on the edge with a few small white specks on the edge too. Unpacked weight 242g. REF NO: CWS008. Price: 95.00GBP Click on picture to view a full gallery for this jar.

On the top there are a couple of pinpricks in the middle blue band together with some tiny white specks. On the underside of the lid there is a small firing fissure in the unglazed lid rest rim. CLOVES Spice Jar - SERIF - 3 3/8” (8.5 cm). Black Shield Mark. Very light crazing on the lid rest rim, at the banding edges, and on the base. Very small hairline to rim edge on RHS – too small and tight to picture, but it is there. Front LHS of top edge has what is either a glaze ship or a shallow flea bite. I tend to be cautious, so assume it is the latter. Very clean lettering, which just a couple of tiny ink specks. Bottom blue band at the front has a pin head firing bubble and a hint of a bump/ridge in the slip. To the rear is a pinhead firing bubble on the shoulder. Inner lid rest rim has a slight slip indent from manufacture. Tiny blue speck on top edge and minuscule hints of specks. Lid fit good. White spot in lower blue band on the extreme left hand side. Inside the neck is a black speck in the glaze. On the base foot rim are some indents from manufacture and some dirt specks. MINT Spice Jar – SERIF 3 7/16” (8.7cm). Gresley Church Mark. NO CRAZING. NO CHIPS. There is a firing fissure on the inside of top of the back rim with an associated fine line that appears to be an associated stress line over the top edge and onto the outer section – see pictures available. This is a highly detailed description as usual – it is small! Nice clear lettering with minimal ink specks associated – and they are tiny. Light surface scratching.
