RARE GREEN SHIELD COFFEE POT Green Shield Backstamp. Approx height 3 ¼” (7.9cm). No crazing (bar two tiny lines inside spout) or cracks, just the tiniest flea on the inner edge of lid. Generally light surface scratching, only one scratch on the side that is slightly more noticeable. In the top gold band is a tiny firing bubble/fault that shows as a bit of whiter area. One the opposite side is the smallest hint of a white line. In the cream band below the handle is a hint of darker colour. On the inner side of the spout there is a small slip bump. | RARE GREEN SHIELD BUTTER DISH Green Shield Backstamp. Approx height 4” (10.2cm), base diameter approx. 4 1/8” (10.5 cm), max base top diameter approx. 5 5/8” (15 cm). Some long line crazing to the white bands of the bottom part. Not discoloured, and not particularly obvious. Lid free of crazing. Impeccably clean. One slip bump on the middle band of the lid and some slip bumps on the edge of the band under the knop. A very small number of pinhead firing bubbles on the main body of the dish, and one on the inside of the top edge where the lid sits. RARE GREEN SHIELD CREAM JUG Green Shield Backstamp. Approx height 3 3/8” (8cm). Some long line crazing to the cream bands and inside the jug. The crazing in the bottom is slightly discoloured, but there is also some darkening of the gold colour in the base and beneath the base too. This looks like a grease mark and would have come from the contents. Free of chips and cracks. One very small bump of slip that is cream on the top section of the gold handle. | SOUFFLE BOWL Impressed Target Mark. Top diameter 7” (17.8cm), height 3 3/8” (8.5cm). No chips, cracks or crazing. Very few surface scratches, mainly inside the base. There are a few hints of darker spots within the cream banding and a coupe of hints of faults in the evenness of the glaze. This is not a common item. Unpacked weight: 820g. REF NO: CWS2745. COFFEE POT Black Target Mark. Base diameter approx 11.2 cm (4 7/16”) x approx 17 cm (6.7”) high including lid. No cracks or crazing. Small flea on handle. Inside lid a small chip to the edge by the cut out, obviously not visible with the lid on. Virtually no surface scratches. Very slight slip rub and indent from manufacture. Pudding Bowl Black Target Mark. Top diameter 5 ½” (14cm), height 3 ¼” (7.9cm). Light long line crazing. No chips or cracks. Small firing fault on the side and light scratching. Inside there are four or five small spots associated with some small utensil marks. There are very minimal marks to the inner edge. Not as easy to find as you would think. Unpacked weight: 340g. Salt and Pepper Cruet Green “ENGLAND” Backstamp to the bottom rim edge. SALT: Approx height 2 5/8” (6.8 cm), base diameter 1 15/16” (4.8 cm), top diameter 1 7/16” (4.2 cm). The tiniest flea/fault on the bottom edge, otherwise excellent/perfect with minimal surface scratches. PEPPER: Approx height 2 5/8” (6.8 cm), base diameter 1 15/16” (4.8 cm), top diameter 1 7/16” (4.2 cm). Two hairlines, small chip to the bottom edge (not visible on the side), light crazing. Both have their stoppers. Shame about the damage on the pepper, but they are there as a pair, and are the only ones of this type that we have seen. Unpacked weight: 176g. REF NO: CWS2817. Christmas Pudding Bowl Impressed Mason Cash Backstamp. This is the only item made by Mason Cash in the Cornish Ware style that carried this backstamp. This item is a second and is the blank version of the 2002 Company Christmas Pudding Bowl. Slight variation in the cream colour near base. A very small amount of overglaze run. Breakfast Cup and Saucer Black Target Mark. Saucer diameter 6” (15.3cm). Cup top diameter 3 ¼” (6cm) height 3” (7.6cm). Saucer in excellent condition with just a few tiny specks of cream in the gold outer band. Inside the cup is a small green spot. To the bottom gold band there is a very slight variation in the colour and this has tried to be illustrated in the available photographs. Very light surface scratching. Dinner Plate Black Target Mark. Diameter 10 ¼” (25.9 cm). Light utensil marks. Small patch of roughness on the edge where it appears dust may have been in the glaze. Very fine, small black line in the outer cream band. In the bottom edge there is either a firing fault or a small hairline in a crescent shape. Seems like the former. No crazing. Dinner Plate Black Target Mark. Diameter 10 ¼” (25.9 cm). Light utensil marks. Light crazing to the centre of the plate. Very slight black lines in the outer cream band and a tiny firing bubble. To the underside there is a star that may be a star crack although there is no evidence of this anywhere else. It is associated with crazing and colours in water the same as that crazing.
