LARGE TEA POT

Superb example. Blue Domino backstamp with solid spots on the domino. Earlier rounded shape as opposed to the Gay Day style. 2 pint plus capacity. Approx. 15.5cm high including lid (difficult to be accurate). Approx. 23.5cm from handle to spout (again difficult to be accurate). Completely free of crazing and damage. VERY clean. Light surface scratching, mainly to the base. One tiny darker speck on the side. Inside the handle the overglaze is uneven. Looks to be virtually unused. The best one I have ever had. COFFEE POT - UNUSUAL HANDLE

Blue Domino backstamp with solid spots on the domino. Earlier rounded shape as opposed to the Gay Day style but with a much less common angled handle. Approx. 15.4 cm high including lid (difficult to be accurate). Approx. 16.5cm from handle to spout (again difficult to be accurate). Completely free of crazing and damage. VERY clean. Hardly any surface scratching. Slight glaze roughness on foot. Looks to be virtually unused. The best coffee pot I have ever had. Unpacked weight 466g. REF NO: CWS 2619. Price: 110.00 GBP. VERY RARE BUTTER PAD
Superb condition. Slightly lighter blue colour. Very few utensil marks. Clear domino backstamp with filled spots on domino. Three or four craze lines in overglaze on underside. Any white showing on this piece are flash artefacts and don’t exist. One of the white spots has a slightly uneven edge with the blue marginally smudged onto the white dot. Pin head pop/flea on the underside in the unglazed foot rim and glaze flaze where the stilt was removed. Unpacked weight: 32g. REF NO: TG318. Price: Ł65.00 GBP. GRAVY BOAT - GAY DAY SHAPE
Blue Domino backstamp with the solid spots on the domino. Gay day shape c1960-1966. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Approx 8.5” (21.2cm) maximum length x approx 2 7/8” (7cm) maximum height. Very small slip indent from manufacture on the upper rim edge. Very few surface scratches. Much fewer of these around than their earlier counterpart. Unpacked weight: 276g. REF NO: CWS 571. Price: 80.00 GBP. VERY RARE BED & BREAKFAST SET TRAY
Blue Domino Backstamp with filled in spots. Approx 24.6 cm maximum diameter. Mid towards lighter of the blue colour range. Free of crazing. Light surface scratching. Firing bubble in one of the white dots (see to of picture b and far side of d). Surface scratching from use. Quite a few bumps in the glaze from manufacture. Two lines of white in the blue of the central section. One from a raised line of slip, and one from an indent in the slip. Outer edge has two small rough spots that appear to be from incomplete/rough glaze. Underside very clean. Foot ridge on the base has some under glaze clips from manufacture, and one very small flake chip, this appears to be associated with a small firing fissure. This is an extremely rare piece to find. COVERED DISH

Blue domino backstamp with solid dots. Max. diameter approx. 23.8 cm (9.4”). No chips or cracks or crazing to the outside. On the underside of the lid is some long line crazing and two hints of blue glaze (like thumb marks). Hardly any utensil marks. A very small amount of dust bumps in the white glaze of the base and an over glaze run under the lip that is slightly bluer on the edge of it. Unpacked weight: 880g. REF NO: TG529. ROUND BUTTER DISH
Blue Domino backstamp with the solid spots on the domino. Base: approx. 14.8 cm (5 13/16”) diameter. Lid: approx 10.7 cm (4.25”). Overall height approx. 7.5 cm (2.75”). Lid: No chips, cracks or crazing. Minimal surface scratching. Bottom edge has the faintest hint of brown specks - hypercritical. One dust speck in slip on the top. Base: No chips, cracks or crazing. Utensil marks from use. Base exceptionally clean. Unpacked weight: 412g. FIVE BAR TOAST RACK
Blue domino backstamp with solid dots. Dimensions approx. 16.1 cm (6.3”) x 8 cm (3 1/8”) x 5.7 cm (2 5/16”). No crazing. One slip bump on side that shows as a small unglazed section. Very few surface scratches. To the underside is a very small flake chip (on the top left side half way along in the picture – it is not very big!). There is some light browning in the thinner glazed sections, and two tight firing fissures in the base. Unpacked weight: 412g. REF NO: CWS828. TWO BAR TOAST RACK
Blue domino backstamp with solid dots. Dimensions approx. 11 cm (4 3/8””) x 8 cm (3 1/8”) x 5.6 cm (2 1/8”). No crazing. Slip colour is very even with just a hint of a run line – very marginal. Light surface scratching. To the underside is a very small flake chip half way along the top edge as you view the underside picture, and an even smaller one on the top right corner of the same picture. There is also a small chip/blow on the end that has an associated hairline along the edge – this could be a crush or firing fissure from manufacture. Unpacked weight: 246g. REF NO: CWS2425. GRAVY BOAT

Blue Domino backstamp with the solid spots on the domino. Approx. 16.5 cm (6.5”) long and 7.3 cm (2 7/8”) high. Blue base. No chips or cracks, just a few craze lines. Very few surface scratches, mainly to the base. Some overglaze runs, mainly associated to with the top edge, but one at the widest point below the spout (see specific picture). Glaze bump on underside of the jug (top right on picture of base), and at widest point near handle. Unpacked weight: 238g. REF NO: CWS 2168 Price: 55.00 GBP. RECTANGLE BUTTER/CHEESE DISH
Blue Domino backstamp with the solid spots on the domino. Technically listed as a cheese dish on the price list, generally referred to as a butter dish. Base: approx. 15.1 cm (5 15/16”) diameter. Lid: approx 10.8 cm (4.25”). Overall height approx. 7 cm (2.75”). Lid: There is variation in the thickness of the blue all over the lid and you can see white showing through in places. There is also some roughness to the glaze/slip which appears to be due to dust specks during manufacture. No chips or cracks or crazing. Base: Long line crazing. Overglaze hasn’t taken in three small places on the edge giving a rough, matt blue effect. 2mm chip on the underside of the edge – this has not broken into the edge at all. Slightly larger kiln stilt point than normal. Unpacked weight: 368g. REF NO: TG 559 Price: 45.00 GBP. RECTANGLE BUTTER/CHEESE DISH

Blue Domino backstamp with the solid spots on the domino. Technically listed as a cheese dish on the price list, generally referred to as a butter dish. Base: approx. 16.3 cm (6.4”) x 11.9 cm (4 11/16”) diameter. Lid: approx 12.9 cm (5 1/16”) x 8.7 cm (3 3/8”). Overall height approx. 7.5 cm (3”). Lid: No chips, cracks or crazing. Very light surface scratching. Slight bend in outer edge. A couple of pin prick firing bubbles on the top and there is a very slight amount of white towards the bottom edge where the blue slip could have been lower. Very clean. Base: Average utensil marks and a couple that hat chipped into the overglaze slightly so they have darkened. Few craze lines to the underside associated with the foot rim. SUGAR BOWL
Blue Domino backstamp with solid spots on the domino. 5.5 cm (2 1/4”) high x 11.4 cm (4 1/2”) diameter. No chips, cracks or crazing. Some surface scratching from use but very light. Top of outside has slight thinning of the overglaze so it’s not perfectly smooth – not detrimental. Bump in slip on outside and bubble in overglaze inside base. Extremely clean. 202g unpacked. Cloverleaf backstamp with 02:93 date stamp. Approx measurements: Base diameter 11.6cm, 12.7cm high. A few long line craze lines inside the base. No chips or cracks. Light surface scratches and some light specks in the glaze. Dots are great. There is a little line indent near the bottom, as if a nail indented the damp slip slightly. Please note – the utensil jars in this range had an indent as the storage jars for the lid to rest on – see the range in the book. This was purchased as a utensil jar originally. 795g unpacked.
