“FLOUR SHAKER”![]() Green Shield Backstamp. Approx 4 5/8” (11.8 cm) high. Crazing to about 20% of the body. Two firing blows ON THE INSIDE of the base. Slight ink specks in the yellow band at the front, on the back and on the top edge. Glaze rub on the thread of the base. Base very clean. Lid has a single craze line on the underside and a flake on the thread. Light browning within the unglazed rim. “MIXING BOWL” Green Shield Backstamp and Impressed #15. Approx. top diameter 27cm x height 11cm x base 11.6cm. Firing fault on the inside of the bottom edge/foot that has created a curved fracture on the outside. Some utensil marks and light surface scratching. Base clean. Yellow good. One glaze pop/fault/flake on the inside with associated brown spot - this is small. A few very slight, light brown specks on the top edge. “TALL SALT CRUET” Approx 10.6cm high x base diameter 6.2cm. Two small flea bites to hole. Brown specks to outer top edge. Browned in the unglazed bottom edge. “5” STORAGE JAR” Green Shield Backstamp. Approx 5” (12.8 cm) high. No chips or cracks. A couple of long craze lines inside the bottom and some smaller ones where the lid sits. “DREADNOUGHT JUG” Green Shield Backstamp. 4 3/8” (11.1 cm) high. Two minuscule flakes on the over glaze o the top rim. A slight line in the top yellow band. “PLAIN SHAKER”![]() Green “Made in England” Backstamp. This is a hard to find item. NO LETTERING AT ALL. Approx 4 ½” (11.7 cm) high. Shaker holes intact but lid has been broken in half and reglued. Colour very variable and lots of discolouration. Fleas to the thread of the base. No crazing. This was part of my collection but I manage to find a better one on my last trip down to see Reading FC play a couple of weeks ago – hence it’s available 312g unpacked.
