RARE 70'S TRIAL NAVY STORAGE JAR ADDED 24/11/06 Not to be confused with the later Navy Cornishware produced for Marks and Spencers in the 1990’s.Dimensions approximately: 14.2 cm ( 5 9/16” ) high including lid and a base diameter of 10.2 cm (45 ¼”).Backstamp: Late 1970’s Target Mark. Excellent condition. Long line crazing to the jar, none on the lid. No chips or cracks. Line of extra slip in the top blue band that shows as white. Some very light and small smudge of blue in the top neck white area, the knop, and bottom blue band – extremely slight! Unusual shape with this one, as well as being one of the trial pieces produced at the same time as the black, and orange colourways. REF NO: CWS3340. Unpacked weight 700g. | RARE GREEN AND GOLD STORAGE JAR - PROBABLY A TRIAL ADDED 24/11/06 Not seen another one personally. Dimensions approximately: 16 cm high including lid ( 5 7/8”). Backstamp: None. Good condition. No chips, cracks or crazing to the jar. Small firing indent on rim filled with the darker green glaze. Seal present but doesn’t hold tightly. Three small flakes to the underside of the jar and some green glaze in the gold colour. A couple of small slip bumps, one being gold within the green band. A few very small pin prick firing bubbles. An unusual piece for the collector who likes examples of the different colour ways. It needs to go. Part of our private collection. Unpacked weight is 960g. REF NO: PERSONAL.
